Intergovernmental Standing Committee on Shipping (ISCOS) Jobs in Uganda: Recruitment for Co Pharmaceutical Management

THE ORGANIZATION:

Intergovernmental Standing Committee on Shipping (ISCOS)- Funded by UKAid and managed by Health Partners. International and Montrose, Northern Uganda Health aims to improve access to health care for the poor in Northern Uganda. The vision of the programme is to strengthen local and national mechanisms for governance and accountability to improve access to health care particularly for the most vulnerable populations in the Acholi region. This will be done by improving the supply of essential medicines to Private Not-for Profit (PNPF) facilities and by reducing user fees through a Results-Based Financing (RBF) approach. For this programme, Montrose is currently seeking to contract.

Being part of the M&E Team, both CO are full time positions based in Gulu requiring a substantial amount of travelling within the Acholi sub-region.

POST TITLE:   CO PHARMACEUTICAL MANAGEMENT
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


Will be responsible for:
  • monitoring the pharmaceutical management of essential medicines by PNFP facilities;
  • and training and capacity building of various stakeholders.
  • Medically qualified (CO Service Delivery);
  • Degree in pharmaceutical management or equivalent (CO Pharmaceutical Mgt);
  • At least five years relevant professional experience in health-related M&E in Uganda;
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis;
  • Experience in capacity building with government officials at district level;
  • Highly computer literate including data software;
  • Good interpersonal skills, strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent writing and English language skills, and knowledge of Luo an advantage.

SALARY/ REMUNERATION: USD/month
